Have just enjoyed your blogs after falling upon your Guacamole Bus one while googling about vacuum problems that I'm having with my 1976 VW bus that I'm in the process of renovating.
Was very sad when I got to the end of your Guacamole one and found you sold it, but then found your Hippo RV one and have now read that.
But I want to know what happened next? The Hippo engine is dead and you are sleeping in it on a driveway. Then what? Did you get it going again???

Every vacuum leak I had was tied either to the oil filler or the S-Boot (the big rubber hose between the intake and the AFM). Start with those...
The RV is still sitting there, waiting for me to pay someone to fix the carb. It won't pass smog check until the carb is adjusted. I rebuilt it, but suck at carb adjustments... I tried myself, but no joy. I just suck. ;)
